Chelsea defeated by Middlesbrough

Chelsea have not yet been knocked out of the League Cup, but have taken a step towards it. Having full control of the game, the Blues were unable to deal with the well-organized defense of Middlesbrough and conceded after a counterattack. Mikhailo Mydruk came on as a substitute in the middle of the second half, however did not make any difference to the game.
