Artem Dovbyk named player of the month in La Liga
Girona forward Artem Dovbyk was recognized as the best player of December in the Spanish championship.
Girona won three games last month, which allowed the Catalan team to share the lead in the standings with Real Madrid.
"Girona is going through a very pleasant moment," says the message on the La Liga website. "Michel's team is at the top of the championship, having scored 48 points in the first half of the season as its center forward Artem Dovbyk has become one of the brightest figures of the Catalans. The Ukrainian scored goals against Barcelona, Betis and Alaves, and also showed excellent individual results, which earned the award."
In the voting for the Player of the Month Artem Dobvyk was ahead of Borja Mayoral (Getafe), Alvaro Valles (Las Palmas), Rodrigo (Real Madrid) and Ignacy Williams (Athletic Bilbao).
