Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali has had his 10-month ban officially confirmed.

23-year-old Italian midfielder had previously confessed to placing bets on football matches and his legal team reached a plea deal with the FIGC. Sandro will be banned from football for 10 months and will also carry out eight months of rehab activities.

With Euro 2024 set to kick off in Germany in June, Tonali’s ban would still be active for the entire tournament, so he would not be a part of the Italy squad.
