The head coach of the national team of Ukraine Serhiy Rebrov spoke to the press after the Euro 2024 qualifier match against Malta:

— It is difficult to play three games in 10 days. We knew that this one would be very difficult. As in the last match, we had a more confident second half. The main thing today was to get three points and move on.

It is very difficult for us to play with such teams because they have a very compact defense. I understood that it would be so, that in the second half we would act better than in the first. They spent a lot of energy, put a lot of pressure, so in the second half we had a much better game. I expected this. We always play hard against such a dense defense. We created many chances in the second half. Yes, we should have scored more. I know that in Ukraine everyone is waiting for 5:0, 6:0, but now all teams can defend.
