Women's World No 1 Iga Swiatek has pulled out of the Miami Open. She made this decision because of a rib injury.

"It was a very difficult decision, but I am sure that health is the most important thing. You know that in and after Doha I was struggling with a strong infection. I was allowed to play, but a strong episode of tough cough led to a rib injury. Unfortunately, I'm still feeling a lot of discomfort and pain and I can't compete. My doctor prepared a treatment plan. I need a break to recover", Swiatek wrote in a story on her Instagram page.

Swiatek at Miami Open and was expected to play American Claire Liu in the second round.
