Zabarny left the national team of Ukraine as Yarmolenko may miss the game against England
Today, the national team of Ukraine held its first training session in London. It was attended by all the players called to the training camp, with the exception of Ilya Zabarny.
The defender arrived at the location of the blue-yellow team yesterday, met all the player and talked with the acting head coach of the national team Ruslan Rotan and the team's medical staff.
Together with Ilya, the doctors of the "Bournemouth" club also arrived, discussing with their Ukrainian colleagues the current physical condition of the player. The eighth week of treatment and rehabilitation of Zabarny after a combined ankle ligament injury continues: there are positive dynamics, but the current conditions do not allow the performer to play at a high level. Considering the risk of re-injury, the doctors of both teams jointly decided to let Ilya fully complete the rehabilitation process, so that in the future he could help both the national team and the club. Therefore, yesterday Zabarny left the location of the national team.
Andriy Yarmolenko, the captain of the Ukrainian national team, is currently training individually. He is being closely monitored by doctors and a decision on his participation in the England game will be made at a later date.
