Shakhtar goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin talked about the championship opening match against Metalist 1925.

– The UPL is finally back, did you miss the championship?
– Yes, of course! I have not played in official tournaments for 9 month and missed this very much. I was a little bit anxious. I am glad that everything went well, but disappointed with the result.

– Match kicked off unusually early. Did it affect the team playing?
– I would not say that it was significant. We had the same pitch, ball and other things as did Metalist 1925, so there were equal conditions. The only thing, it was very hot and pitch was wet so the ball did not move fast.

– What did you lack to win?
– Final pass, final touch to score.

– Is absence of scored goals achievement of Metalist 1925 defence or result of Shakhtar conversions problems?
– I think it was 50:50. The opponent performed a large work demonstrating good defence throughout the entire game, but we lacked self-possession. Although, this match was the first one after a long break, we have to continue working.

– What do you want to say to the fans on the Independence Day of Ukraine?
– I want to say that everything will be good, we will win. Glory to Ukraine!
