Nordi Mukiele signs for Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain has signed Nordi Mukiele for the next five seasons. The French defender is now tied to the club from the French capital until 30 June 2027.
After coming through the Paris FC youth academy, Nordi Mukiele signed for Ligue 2 outfit Stade Lavallois when he was 16 years of age. The future France international made his first-team debut against Auxerre in November 2014, and signed a first professional contract a few months later.
Hailing from Montreuil, he signed for Montpellier HSC in early 2017, where he made 50 Ligue 1 appearances before transferring to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2018. The versatile defender, who can play both on the right side and in the centre of defence, played 146 matches for the German club (10 goals, 11 assists), winning the German Cup last May.
Nordi Mukiele represented France at U18, U19, U20 and U21 level, before earning his first full international cap for Les Bleus, coached by Didier Deschamps, in a FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier versus Finland, on 7 September 2021.
