Lenglet arrives to Tottenham on loan from Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the signing of Clément Lenglet on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Born in Beauvais, France, Clement began his career at Nancy, where he made his debut in September, 2013. A regular by the age of 19, he played 34 of Nancy's 38 matches in 2015/16 as they won the French Second Division title and promotion into Ligue 1.

Clement signed for Sevilla in January, 2017, and in 2017/18, featured in 54 of the Andalusian club's 59 matches in all competitions, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the final of the Copa del Rey.

He joined Barcelona in July, 2018 and has racked up 159 appearances in all competitions, winning La Liga in his first season and the Copa del Rey in 2021.

Capped across all youth levels for France from Under-16 to Under-21, Clement made his senior debut for Les Bleus in June, 2019, and has 15 caps to his name.
