Canadian forward of 'Colorado Avalanche' Nazem Kadri became the first Muslim to win the Stanley Cup. In the NHL playoffs this season, Kadri scored 15 (7+8) points in 16 games.

Kadri, 31, is of Lebanese origin. His grandparents were born in Kfar Danis and moved to Ontario when Kadri's father was four years old. Nazem's interest in hockey comes from his father: Sam Kadri wanted to play hockey as a teenager, but his family couldn't let him play. When Nazem was born, his father decided that he should have the opportunity to play sports.

Nazem Kadri started skating at the age of two, and joined his first hockey team when he was four. He has been in the NHL since 2009.
