Ukraine coach Oleksandr Petrakov praised his team's perfomance in an opening Nations League game against Ireland:

- We played a very difficult match against Wales on June 5th, so in order not to harm the boys I decided to give a chance to our younger players. Many of them have played on this level for the first time.

We will analyze their mistakes, but I am pleased with the dedication of the younger players, their attitude to the game. And I'm satisfied with the result. It's such a positive thing after what happened in Wales. We do not look into the past, but move forward.

Lastly, I would like to thank Ireland. You have received us very well. When I walked around the city people came up to me and wished me and Ukraine success. Your country has also sheltered our refugees - women and children. And for this I thank you.
