Former West Ham midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko will be one of Ukraine's key players in the upcoming 2022 World Cup play-off game against Scotland. Speaking before the June 1st match he expressed his confidence in the national team's ability to win at Hampden Park.

"The Scots play quite an athletic football, physically they are very strong, however it's possible to beat them. To do that you need to "play the game with your head" - you need to think on the pitch. Therefore, we have every chance to win. We are not afraid of anyone, we respect them, but we need to be concentrated on our own perfomances. We should also think about how to use their weaknesses to win and move on to the next game.

Robertson? Football is a team's game, it is not only about the star players. If i won't play at my best, but my team is going to win - I will be satisfied.

Of course, playing the away games is never easy, but we are professionals. You just need to perform as usual, use your chances and be patient. However, this match against Scotland will definitely not be easy. We have to play like a team - then we will succeed. Nobody is afraid of the Scots, we have good players and I am sure that individually we are no worse than them", Yarmolenko said.
