Manchester United suffered another damaging defeat, losing 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford in a performance that left the hosts looking completely out of their depth. The result leaves United languishing in 16th place in the table, raising further questions about the club's direction and the future of head coach Michael Carrick.

Goals from Ryan in the 38th minute, Marcus Tavernier just five minutes later and Evanilson in the 71st minute sealed a comprehensive victory for Bournemouth and piled further pressure on Carrick. Manchester United have now gone seven consecutive matches without a win, conceding in every game during that run. Even more concerningly, they have failed to score more than once in any of those seven fixtures.

After the final whistle, Michael Carrick walked around the pitch at Old Trafford, acknowledging the supporters in what appeared to be an emotional farewell. Despite the crushing defeat, sections of the home crowd showed their appreciation for the manager, who had helped guide Manchester United back into the UEFA Champions League.
