Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Parma marked Lazio’s seventh win in their opening eight Serie A fixtures, sealing the club’s best domestic start in over a quarter of a century.

The result represents only the sixth time in club history that the Biancocelesti have gone undefeated across the first eight rounds of a league campaign—and their very first in the 21st century.

Lazio last matched this level of early-season dominance during the fabled 1999/2000 campaign under Sven-Göran Eriksson, the historic year the Roman side captured their second, and most recent, Scudetto.
