European and world champions Spain produced a commanding display in the Nations League, sweeping aside Croatia 4-1 in a one-sided contest. The headline act was once again Lamine Yamal, with the Barcelona winger playing a decisive role throughout the night.

Yamal wasted virtually no time making his mark, opening the scoring with a precise finish inside the first two minutes. He struck again after the break to complete a superb individual performance and put Spain firmly in control.

Croatia managed to respond through Bello, who headed home to give the visitors a brief glimpse of hope. But La Roja quickly restored their advantage when Marc Pubill finished from a Lamine Yamal assist.

There was still time for another moment of quality, with Nico Williams adding a spectacular fourth goal to complete the rout.
