Liverpool secured a hard-fought victory over Bournemouth as head coach Andoni Iraola made a triumphant return to his former club in the Premier League.

The contest at Vitality Stadium was decided by a single goal. On 57 minutes, Alexander Isak reacted quickest inside the penalty area and fired home from close range to give Liverpool the decisive advantage.

The result moves Liverpool up to sixth place in the Premier League table with nine points. Bournemouth, meanwhile, remain on three points after five matches and have dropped to 17th position.
