Newcastle United have officially confirmed the appointment of Matthias Jaissle as the club's new head coach, bringing an end to the managerial transition at St James' Park.

The German tactician has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at Newcastle United until June 2030, underlining the club's commitment to building a long-term project around the former Al Ahli manager.

As part of the agreement, Al Ahli will receive a compensation package worth €11 million for the early termination of Jaissle's contract.

Matthias Jaissle succeeds Eddie Howe, who spent nearly five years in charge of Newcastle United.
