Manchester City have officially confirmed that Joško Gvardiol has signed a new long-term contract, extending his stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2031. The 24-year-old Croatia international continues to be a central figure in the club's long-term plans following another impressive spell in the Premier League.

Gvardiol joined Manchester City from RB Leipzig in 2023 for a then world-record transfer fee of €90 million for a defender. Since arriving in England, he has made 122 appearances across all competitions and scored 13 goals, establishing himself as one of Europe's elite defenders.
