Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Klæbo delivered another dominant performance, winning gold in the men’s sprint at the Olympic Games and once again confirming his status as a true legend of cross-country skiing. In the final, Klæbo left his rivals with no chance, easing up over the closing metres and greeting the crowd as he crossed the finish line.

The decisive move came on a long uphill section, where Klæbo at times reached speeds of up to 16 km/h, pulling clear of American Ben Ogden and his Norwegian teammate Oscar Wiik.

For Johannes Klæbo, this was his second gold medal in Milan and the seventh Olympic gold of his career.

Norway continue to lead the Olympic medal table at the 2026 Games, having already collected five gold medals.
