Cristiano Ronaldo unhappy as €50m buy-out clause revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Al-Nassr during the summer transfer window, according to Portuguese outlet Record. The report claims the 40-year-old forward is unhappy at the Saudi club and is considering potential moves back to Europe or to MLS.
There is, however, a significant complication. Under the terms of his contract, Ronaldo can be bought out for €50 million. Whether any club would be willing to pay such a fee for a player who will turn 41 next year — even one of his legendary status — remains an open question. By comparison, Transfermarkt currently values the forward at just €12 million.
Ronaldo has been with Al-Nassr since 2023, and his contract runs until 2027. In recent days, his relationship with Saudi football authorities has reportedly become strained, amid growing frustration over the club’s transfer policy and long-term sporting direction.
