Globe Soccer Awards: Football’s Stars Get Their Moment of Recognition

The Globe Soccer Awards delivered a night of celebration on Sunday evening, honouring the standout figures who have defined the global game over the past year.
The main accolade went to Ousmane Dembele. The Paris Saint-Germain and France forward was named the Best Player of 2025, crowning a sensational season at the very highest level of world football.
It was yet another milestone in an extraordinary year for Dembele. Earlier in 2025, he had already lifted the iconic Ballon d’Or and collected the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award, firmly establishing himself as the dominant force of the modern game.
Parisian success extended beyond the pitch. Luis Enrique was deservedly crowned Coach of the Year after guiding Paris Saint-Germain through another elite campaign, while the club itself was recognised as the Best Club.
On the international stage, the award for Best National Team went to Portugal, whose consistency and quality over the past year set them apart from the competition.
There was also recognition for one of football’s greatest icons. Cristiano Ronaldo did not leave empty-handed, being named the Best Middle East Player for his performances with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, underlining his continued impact far beyond Europe.
