The line-up for the Italian Super Cup final has been confirmed

The line-up for the Italian Super Cup final has been confirmed, with Bologna FC set to face SSC Napoli in a mouth-watering clash for silverware. Following Napoli’s semi-final victory over AC Milan, Bologna secured their place after a dramatic showdown against Inter Milan.

The second semi-final proved to be a tense affair, ultimately decided by a nerve-shredding penalty shootout. From the opening whistle, the match was played at a frenetic pace, setting the tone for an evening of high drama.

Marcus Thuram gave Inter an early advantage, capitalising on a defensive lapse to score inside the opening two minutes. Bologna, however, showed impressive resilience. Riccardo Orsolini made amends for an earlier mistake by calmly converting a penalty after Yann Bisseck was penalised for handball.

With the score level at the end of 90 minutes, neither side managed to find a decisive breakthrough, sending the contest to penalties. Under immense pressure, Bologna held their nerve, edging the shootout 4–3 to book their place in the final.
