The situation has raised eyebrows across the football community, as the investigation will mark its one-year anniversary in December

The curious case of Mykhailo Mudryk has hit a standstill, with no significant progress reported nearly a year after the investigation began. Witold Bańka, the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), has acknowledged that his organization is currently not an active party in the process and is waiting for developments from English authorities.

“First of all, we are waiting for the disciplinary decision from the Football Association (FA) regarding Mudryk’s case,” Bańka told Ukrinform. “As of today, we have no indication of when that decision will come. Once it is issued, we will request access to the player’s documentation in line with the World Anti-Doping Code and then decide whether to accept the ruling. We may appeal if we consider the verdict either too harsh or too lenient.”

The situation has raised eyebrows across the football community, as the investigation will mark its one-year anniversary in December. Many observers had expected a resolution months ago, but the lack of movement has left both fans and experts puzzled.
