It was a night to remember in Winnipeg

It was a night to remember in Winnipeg, and not just because of the home side’s convincing 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators. The spotlight belonged to one man — Mark Scheifele.

The 30-year-old forward etched his name into the franchise’s history books, becoming the all-time leading scorer for the Winnipeg Jets (including Atlanta Thrashers history). Scheifele scored his sixth goal of the season to reach 813 career points (342 goals, 471 assists) in 884 NHL games, surpassing former captain Blake Wheeler (812 points).

With this milestone, Scheifele now stands alone at the top of the Jets’ all-time points list — a true franchise icon.
