Max Verstappen claimed a commanding victory in the United States Grand Prix Sprint, while disaster struck for McLaren as teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri crashed into each other in the very first corner.

The reigning World Champion made a clean getaway and managed to hold off intense pressure from George Russell over the 19-lap sprint, crossing the line just 0.395 seconds ahead to extend his dominance in the 2025 season.

Behind the front two, it was a sensational drive from Carlos Sainz, who guided his Williams to a podium finish with a calm, error-free performance.

Qualifying for the main Grand Prix will take place on October 19 at 00:30 Kyiv time (EEST).
