VfB Stuttgart - Bayern 1:2

Bayern Munich added yet another piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet, claiming their record-extending 11th DFL-Supercup title with a composed 2–1 victory over VfB Stuttgart.

It took just 18 minutes for star striker Harry Kane to make his mark, firing home a brilliant strike from outside the box to give the Bundesliga champions the lead. After the break, it was Luis Díaz — another of Bayern’s high-profile summer signings — who doubled the advantage with a clinical header from a pinpoint Serge Gnabry cross.

Stuttgart pulled one back late in the game through Jamie Leweling, injecting some tension into the closing minutes. But Thomas Tuchel’s men held firm to see out the result and secure the season’s first domestic trophy.
