UEFA Europa Conference League Play-Off Draw Results
The final draw of the day at UEFA headquarters has mapped out the play-off round of the Europa Conference League, with Ukrainian clubs once again in the spotlight.
Polissya Zhytomyr, representing Ukraine in the competition, are set to face Hungary’s Paksi FC in the third qualifying round. Should they progress, a major test awaits: a play-off showdown with Serie A runners-up Fiorentina.
Shakhtar Donetsk, currently battling Panathinaikos in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers, will drop into the Conference League if they lose on aggregate. In that case, they would meet the winner of Servette (Switzerland) vs FC Utrecht (Netherlands) — a heavyweight clash by Conference League standards.
Meanwhile, Dynamo Kyiv are already guaranteed a place in the Conference League group stage, should they not qualify for the Champions League.
