Lando Norris claims pole in thrilling Belgian Grand Prix qualifying at Spa
Lando Norris secured a pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix during Saturday’s qualifying session at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The McLaren driver delivered a blistering final lap to top the timesheets and will start Sunday’s race from the front row.
Joining him on the front row is his teammate and current Drivers' Championship leader Oscar Piastri, making it a dream result for McLaren heading into race day.
Charles Leclerc will line up third after narrowly outpacing reigning world champion Max Verstappen on the final run. The Ferrari ace pulled out a strong lap when it mattered, pushing Red Bull's Verstappen to P4 on the grid.
The rest of the top ten sees a mix of familiar names and rising stars: Alex Albon (Williams), George Russell (Mercedes), Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull), Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), and Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) all secured strong qualifying results.
