This will be only the second time the Finalissima is held in its current format

There will be no Finalissima in 2025, with UEFA and CONMEBOL confirming that the prestigious intercontinental clash has been pushed to March 2026 due to a packed international calendar.

The next edition of the Finalissima — a match contested between the reigning UEFA European Championship and Copa América winners — will see Spain, champions of Euro 2024, take on Argentina, who triumphed at the 2024 Copa América.

The match is scheduled to be played sometime between March 17 and 25, 2026. The exact date and venue are yet to be confirmed, but expectations are high for what promises to be a high-profile footballing spectacle.

This will be only the second time the Finalissima is held in its current format. The first edition in 2022 saw Argentina dominate Italy with a convincing 3-0 victory at Wembley Stadium — a night that is still fresh in the memory of Albiceleste fans.
