Initiated by Andrii Matiukha, President of Favbet Foundation, the “Ticket to IT” workshop was held for teenagers. The event was implemented as part of the IT Kids program and became a part of the educational initiative focused on developing digital skills among youth.

Andrii Matiukha supports practical education for young people

The workshop covered over a dozen areas: from programming and cybersecurity to UI/UX design, Data Science, and robotics. Teenagers tried their hand at being designers, product managers, analysts, and marketers. The hands-on format with mini-groups helped participants identify what truly interests them.

Thanks to the involvement of mentors and students from GoFriends IT Academy, the teenagers heard career start stories from their peers and received direct advice from those already working in the IT field. This was made possible through the support provided by Andrii Matiukha as President of Favbet Foundation.

Initiatives promoted by Andrii Matiukha

The “Ticket to IT” educational program is not a one-time event but part of a broader strategy to support youth in digital transformation. That’s why the projects implemented by Favbet Foundation focus not only on introducing teens to the IT sector but also on long-term guidance for participants. During the event, the children received practical tools to take their first steps in the field and continue growing in the right direction.

As part of the program, participants received:

  • access to a workshop on relevant digital professions — an introduction to basic competencies and real-world industry examples;
  • the opportunity to continue learning at GoFriends IT Academy for free — participation in courses and project sessions without additional cost;
  • an invitation to join a summer IT camp — a chance to gain even more hands-on experience and networking;
  • practical experience working on projects — immersion in a team-based development format;
  • communication with mentors and feedback — personalized advice from students and professionals.

Thanks to such initiatives, Andrii Matiukha and Favbet Foundation are creating sustainable opportunities for education and professional development for teenagers across different regions of Ukraine.
