Kylian Mbappé sidelined with acute gastroenteritis
Real Madrid have confirmed that star forward Kylian Mbappé is currently unavailable for selection after being diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis.
The French international reportedly began experiencing symptoms last Sunday following a training session. After further medical examinations, he was hospitalized for treatment and observation. The club issued an official statement earlier today, citing his condition and ongoing recovery.
Mbappé, who has been instrumental for Los Blancos this season, missed yesterday’s 1–1 draw against Al Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage.
Real Madrid now face crucial matches in the coming days, including a showdown with Mexican side Pachuca on June 22 and a clash with Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg on June 27.
