Real Madrid and Liverpool have reached an agreement for the transfer of 26-year-old England international Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the right-back set to join the Spanish giants on June 1, 2025.

After multiple rounds of negotiations, the two clubs agreed on a €10 million fee to facilitate Alexander-Arnold’s early release from his contract. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Madrid’s initial offer — a free transfer — was swiftly rejected, with the final figure significantly higher than the initially rumored €1–2 million range. Real Madrid will also cover the player's full salary for June.

This move enables Alexander-Arnold to feature in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025, where he could make his official debut for Los Blancos as early as June 14, when Real Madrid face Al Hilal in their opening fixture of the expanded tournament.
