Erling Haaland is determined to end Manchester City’s difficult campaign on a high — and he’s drawing personal motivation from a national celebration back home in Norway.

The prolific striker is preparing for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Crystal Palace with extra emotional weight, as the match coincides with Norway’s Constitution Day, celebrated on 17 May.

"I Have to Do Everything — and More"

“We have to think about the games ahead,” Haaland told RSPN. “About finishing the Premier League strong and winning the FA Cup. This match means a lot to me, because it falls on a special day for Norwegians — Constitution Day. I have to do everything possible and impossible to win the trophy.”

Putting a Turbulent Season Behind

While City have not lived up to their usual standards this season, Haaland insists it’s no time to dwell on disappointment, but to look ahead with hunger.

“You can’t win every year,” he said. “The club has set incredibly high standards, and by those standards, this season may seem like a failure. But now it’s about finding that fire again — that desire to win.”

Final Chance at Silverware

City go into the Wembley final knowing it’s their last opportunity to lift a major trophy this season. With Haaland fit and focused — and fuelled by patriotic pride — all eyes will be on the Norwegian to deliver when it matters most.
