Torino - Inter 0:2

Inter Milan showed no signs of a European hangover as they eased past Torino in a solid 2-0 win on Matchday 36 of the Serie A season. Despite resting several key players following their midweek exploits in the Champions League, the newly crowned Italian champions remained in control from start to finish.

It took just minutes for Nicola Zalewski to open the scoring with a composed finish that silenced the home crowd. Kristjan Asllani later doubled the lead from the penalty spot, confidently converting to secure all three points for Simone Inzaghi’s men.

Though Napoli were yet to play their match later in the day, Inter temporarily drew level on points at the top, with both sides sitting on 77 points. For Torino, it was another frustrating afternoon, as they remain stuck in 11th place in the table with little left to play for this season.
