Lautaro Martínez

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martínez has shared his thoughts ahead of tonight’s blockbuster UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Barcelona.

"We’re full of enthusiasm," the Argentine striker told UEFA's official website. "In three years, we’ve reached the semi-finals twice. That hadn't happened at Inter for many years. We're doing well in the Champions League and trying to make our fans' dreams come true. We really want to play in the final again."

Martínez also addressed Inter’s recent dip in domestic form: "Defeats happen. We've done a great job overall, except for the past week. Losing three in a row hurt, especially since that hadn't happened in a long time. But the team is strong, united – and that’s what matters most."

The first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan kicks off tonight, 30 April, at 21:00 CET.
