This rescheduling comes amid an already adjusted fixture list for Matchday 34

The Serie A clash between Atalanta and Lecce has been officially postponed from Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, following the tragic passing of a long-serving member of Lecce’s backroom staff.

According to Football Italia, the Lecce squad was already checked into their hotel when they received the heartbreaking news of the death of physiotherapist Graziano Fiorita — a beloved figure who had served the club for over 20 years. In response, the club requested the match be postponed, and Serie A has confirmed the new date.

This rescheduling comes amid an already adjusted fixture list for Matchday 34 of the 2024/25 Serie A season. The calendar had previously been altered due to the passing of Pope Francis, with Saturday, April 26, designated as a national day of mourning in Italy. As a result, seven Serie A matches will now take place on Sunday.
