After 13 unforgettable years, Jamie Vardy has officially confirmed that he will leave Leicester City at the end of the 2024/25 season — marking the end of one of the most iconic stories in Premier League history.

Vardy’s legacy is nothing short of legendary. With 498 appearances and 198 goals for the Foxes, the 37-year-old striker was the heartbeat of a side that defied all odds to win the Premier League title in 2015/16 and lifted the FA Cup in 2021. He remains the last active player from that fairytale title-winning squad.

In an emotional statement to fans, Vardy said:

"To the fans of Leicester, I'm gutted that this day is coming, but I knew it was going to come eventually. I've spent 13 unbelievable years at this club, with lots of success, and some downs, but the majority have all been highs.

It's finally time to call it a day, which I'm devastated about it, but I think the timing it right. Leicester will always, always have a massive place in my heart."

This season, Vardy has scored 7 goals in 30 league appearances, but despite his best efforts, Leicester were unable to avoid relegation from the Premier League — a bitter end to a remarkable chapter.
