Everton Fall to Ruthless Manchester City

Guardiola’s side climbs to fourth place in the Premier League table

Vitalii Mykolenko was back in the starting XI and delivered a solid individual performance, yet it wasn’t enough to stop Manchester City from claiming a 2–0 win over Everton.

After a sluggish and goalless first half, the second 45 brought the spark. The breakthrough came courtesy of Nico O'Reilly, the promising 20-year-old winger who made a dazzling run down the left flank and buried a crucial goal in the 84th minute.

It was O'Reilly’s second goal in as many matches — and now we see why Pep Guardiola was reportedly unwilling to let the youngster move to Chelsea during the January transfer window.

Mykolenko held his own defensively and looked lively pushing forward, earning a respectable 7.0 rating from Sofascore for his efforts. His positioning, overlaps, and smart interceptions were key highlights in an otherwise frustrating evening for the Toffees.
