Arsenal Stumble Against Brentford After European Heroics

Arsenal - Brentford 1:1

Arsenal were held to a 1–1 draw by Brentford at the Emirates Stadium in Matchweek 32 of the Premier League, just days after their dazzling Champions League quarter-final victory over Real Madrid.

Thomas Partey opened the scoring for the Gunners with a fine strike, but Yoane Wissa equalised for the visitors, capitalising on a lapse in Arsenal’s concentration. It was a classic case of a European hangover for Mikel Arteta’s side, who missed the chance to close the gap at the top of the table.

Oleksandr Zinchenko started the match for Arsenal and played 62 minutes before being subbed off. His compatriot, Yegor Yarmoliuk, was introduced in the 69th minute for Brentford, meaning the two Ukrainian internationals narrowly missed a head-to-head on the pitch — but both played a part in a tightly contested match.
