NBA Roundup: Career-high from Mykhailiuk not enough for Jazz, Lakers cruise, Doncic dazzles
On the penultimate day of the NBA regular season, all 30 teams took the court in a jam-packed slate of action. While playoff seeding battles raged on, it was a night of individual brilliance and statement wins — but also heartbreak for some.
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk delivered a career performance for the Utah Jazz, dropping a personal NBA-best 27 points against the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite his heroics, Utah were overwhelmed by a red-hot Thunder squad, falling 111–145 at home. Oklahoma City looked every bit like a title contender, asserting dominance on both ends of the floor.
Over in Los Angeles, the LA Lakers made easy work of the Houston Rockets with a commanding 140–109 win. While Ukrainian center Alex Len didn’t feature in the game, it was Luka Dončić who stole the spotlight on the night across the league, putting up a near-triple-double with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists to lead the Dallas Mavericks past Toronto.
