Rangers stadium is at risk of being without spectators

UEFA has fined Rangers FC €30,000 and ordered a partial stadium closure at Ibrox after a group of home fans displayed a banner deemed "racist and/or discriminatory" during the Europa League fixture against Fenerbahce on March 13.

According to UEFA’s official statement, any further breaches of similar nature within the next two years will trigger a full stand closure for UEFA competitions hosted at the ground.

In addition to the primary sanction, UEFA also imposed several other fines on the Scottish club: €8,000 for the team’s improper conduct, €4,500 for fans throwing objects onto the pitch, and €6,000 for blocking stadium passageways.

The incident has sparked fresh concerns about crowd behaviour during European matches, with UEFA reiterating its zero-tolerance policy toward racism and discrimination of any kind.
