The Australian driver controlled the race from pole position

Oscar Piastri claimed his third Formula 1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, leading a dominant McLaren one-two finish. The Australian driver controlled the race from pole position, briefly losing the lead during pit stops but quickly reclaiming it to secure the win. His teammate, Lando Norris, finished second despite brake issues in the closing laps, ensuring a perfect start to the season for McLaren after Norris' impressive wet-weather drive in Melbourne last weekend.

George Russell of Mercedes completed the podium in third, while Max Verstappen of Red Bull fought back to finish fourth after a strong second half of the race. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, who drove brilliantly with a damaged front wing, had to settle for fifth after being overtaken by Verstappen late in the race.

Lewis Hamilton, who won Saturday's sprint race, struggled in the main event and finished sixth. The seven-time world champion made a second pit stop, unlike the other leaders, which cost him valuable time.
