"We've already discussed everything that happened. Of course, we had meetings with the team leaders. I believe there’s no need to dwell on the past—we are starting fresh," Garcia told HBVL.
The issue was sparked by goalkeeper Koen Casteels, who announced his departure from the national team following Courtois' return. Several players reportedly shared his frustration, believing that Courtois was given the freedom to leave and return as he pleased.
Courtois had previously stepped away from international duty due to tensions with former head coach Domenico Tedesco. However, after Tedesco’s dismissal and Garcia’s appointment, the Real Madrid goalkeeper reversed his decision and made himself available for selection again.
