In a significant blow to Juventus’ preparations for the highly anticipated Serie A encounter against Atalanta on Sunday, head coach Thiago Motta has confirmed that seven players will be absent. The match, set for March 9, is pivotal for both sides as they vie for a coveted spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

“We’ve had an excellent week,” revealed Thiago Motta. “The lads looked fantastic, and those who step onto the pitch tomorrow will be ready for a top-level performance. Unfortunately, we’ll be without Rouhi, Bremer, Arkadiusz Milik, Cabal, Douglas Luiz, Conceicao, and Savona.”

Currently on a five-match winning run, Juventus sit three points behind Atalanta in the standings. A win would not only extend their streak but also bring them level on points with their direct rivals in the race for a place among Europe’s elite clubs.

“We’ve worked on physical, technical, and mental aspects,” added Thiago Motta. “Every player must give everything in this match. Atalanta are special in terms of both individual qualities and the tactical flexibility of their coach. They can alter their style on the fly and play some very high-level football.”
