Hansi Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, insists his team should expect a fierce challenge when they face Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. Despite the Catalans’ recent domestic form, Flick believes the Portuguese side will test his squad to the limit.

“This tie will last 180 minutes. We’re going up against one of the best teams in the tournament right now. We’ll need to play at a higher level to advance. We feel more prepared than we do for league matches—nothing comes easy at this stage. Benfica are a fantastic opponent, and their home stadium has a special atmosphere.”

Tonight’s clash between Benfica and Barcelona is set to kick off at 21:00 CET. According to head coach Bruno Lage, the Portuguese club’s goal will be guarded by Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin.
