The first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven is set to take place on Tuesday.

Arsenal's Preparation Leaves No Room for Surprises

Before the match, British journalists reminded Jurrien Timber about Mikel Arteta’s well-known habit of consulting his players for insights on upcoming opponents. As a former Ajax player, one might think Timber had an edge in analyzing PSV, but the Dutch defender downplayed the need for any special input.

“To be honest, I didn’t have to tell him much,” Timber admitted. “Our coach is always very well-prepared, no matter who we play against. So, to be fair, there wasn’t much advice needed.”

Familiar Foes for the Gunners

“Arsenal has already faced PSV twice in the past three years, so that obviously helps,” he added. “My teammates are well aware of what to expect, and as for me, I’ve played against them many times before. Nothing new for me.”
