World number one tennis player Jannik Sinner has been handed a three-month suspension following an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) over two positive doping tests last year. The ban, which will run from February 9 to May 4, means the reigning Australian Open champion will not miss any Grand Slam tournaments during this period.

Sinner, who has been a dominant force in men's tennis, reached the agreement with WADA to resolve the issue swiftly. The Italian star tested positive for a banned substance on two separate occasions in 2023, prompting an investigation. However, the relatively short suspension suggests that the violations were not deemed intentional or severe.

Despite the ban, Sinner's absence from the tour will be minimal, as the suspension period does not overlap with any of the four Grand Slam events.
