Lazio - Monza 5:1

In the 24th round of Serie A, SS Lazio delivered a commanding performance against the league's bottom-placed team, Monza, securing a crucial 5-1 victory that propelled them into the coveted Champions League qualification zone.

The first half saw Lazio take a cautious approach, with Adam Marušić breaking the deadlock with a precise header. The "Eagles" entered halftime with a narrow 1-0 lead, but the floodgates opened in the second half as the hosts unleashed an attacking onslaught.

Just 12 minutes after the break, Pedro doubled Lazio's advantage with a clinical finish, assisted by Castellanos. The Spanish forward then turned provider, setting up Castellanos to make it 3-0 and put the game out of reach for Monza.

The final stages of the match were a goal fest. Pedro added his second of the night with a deft touch following a pass from Matteo Guendouzi, extending the lead to 4-0. Monza managed to pull one back through a penalty converted by Sensi, but Lazio had the last word. Substitute Gustav Isaksen capped off the scoring with a stunning strike under the crossbar, sealing a resounding 5-1 victory.

With this win, Lazio leapfrogged Juventus to claim fourth place in the Serie A table, putting them in prime position for a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.
