Simone Inzaghi

Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi did not hold back after his team’s crushing 0-3 defeat against Fiorentina in Serie A on Thursday night. The Nerazzurri boss admitted his players "deserved" to lose and failed to deliver from the very first minute.

“We completely failed in this game, in every aspect. We deserved this defeat. Congratulations to Fiorentina,” Inzaghi stated bluntly.

"No Excuses – We Simply Didn't Show Up"

Inter found themselves overwhelmed early in the match, unable to respond to Fiorentina’s intensity.

“We failed to react, and you could see it from the first half. I am the first to take responsibility. We will analyze this defeat, but now is not the time for drama,” Inzaghi said.

“I don’t want excuses or to hear about fatigue. We simply didn’t show what we usually do on the pitch.”

Inter Slips Behind Napoli

The loss leaves Inter Milan in second place, now trailing Napoli by three points in the Serie A standings.

“It’s okay to be angry right now, but we must restart in the best way possible. There is still a lot to fight for,” Inzaghi concluded.
