Playoffs of the Nations League: Ukraine to Host Belgium in Spain
Ukraine is finalizing the venue for the match. On March 20, in the playoff match for a spot in Division A of the Nations League, Ukraine will host the Belgian national team on Spanish soil. While there hasn't been an official announcement yet, a delegation from the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) has already visited the proposed location. The match is expected to take place in the city of Murcia, at the Nueva Condomina Stadium, the home ground of the local football club, which has a capacity of just over 31,000 spectators.
The UAF delegation was led by the manager of the Ukrainian national team, Oleksii Targonskyi. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the infrastructure and logistics—an important consideration given that the Ukrainian national team plans to hold a pre-match training camp in Murcia as well.
It is worth noting that the Nations League playoff round consists of two matches. On March 20, Ukraine will play its nominally home match, while on March 23, the opponent will host Ukraine on their home turf in Brussels.
